Spider Vein Treatment

Located in Boerne and serving San Antonio and the surrounding areas of Texas, Dr. Elizabeth McRae offers laser vein treatments to her patients seeking skin rejuvenation.

What Is Spider Vein Treatment?

If you’re embarrassed by spider veins – those unsightly clusters of red, blue, and purple veins commonly found on your legs, feet, and elsewhere on the body – laser spider vein treatment may be for you. The spider vein treatment procedure directs a light beam on the veins to seal them off and successfully dissolve them. Safe and efficient, you do not have to worry about damaging any of the surrounding tissue as the wavelength of the laser is targeted specifically to the pigment in the blood.

Using the most cutting-edge laser technology, Dr. Elizabeth McRae has successfully performed countless laser spider vein treatments for her patients in Boerne, TX, San Antonio, TX, Fredericksburg, TX, and the surrounding areas. How Is Spider Vein Treatment Performed?

If you’re concerned about discomfort, your technician can apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area prior to the procedure. However, one of the benefits of this procedure is that it is relatively pain-free. Your technician will direct pulses of light energy directly on the spider veins, which may cause a tingling sensation. She will then use a chilled hand piece to cool the skin while the laser is penetrating the veins. Generally, the entire process lasts no more than 20 minutes.

Am I a Good Candidate for Spider Vein Treatment?

If spider veins on your legs, feet, face, or anywhere else on the body are causing you to feel self-conscious, you may be a perfect candidate for spider vein treatment. However, keep in mind that this treatment does not treat varicose veins – the larger, more painful veins typically found in the legs. If you have varicose veins, you should discuss other options with your doctor.

Once all veins are reabsorbed into the body, you’ll be able to show off your smooth, unblemished, sexy legs with pride. We recommend taking a peek at some spider vein treatment before and after pictures before you elect to have this procedure so you can visualize your potential results.
